撒下8:1 此后，大卫攻打非利士人，把他们治服，从他们手下夺取了京城的权柄（原文作“母城的嚼环”）。
撒下8:1 And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
撒下8:2 又攻打摩押人，使他们躺卧在地上，用绳量一量，量二绳的杀了，量一绳的存留。摩押人就归服大卫，给他进贡。
撒下8:2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
撒下8:3 琐巴王利合的儿子哈大底谢往大河去，要夺回他的国权。大卫就攻打他，
撒下8:3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
撒下8:4 擒拿了他的马兵一千七百，步兵二万；将拉战车的马砍断蹄筋，但留下一百辆车的马。
撒下8:4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
撒下8:5 大马色的亚兰人来帮助琐巴王哈大底谢，大卫就杀了亚兰人二万二千。
撒下8:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
撒下8:6 于是，大卫在大马色的亚兰地设立防营，亚兰人就归服他，给他进贡。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
撒下8:6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
撒下8:7 他夺了哈大底谢臣仆所拿的金盾牌，带到耶路撒冷。
撒下8:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
撒下8:8 大卫王又从属哈大底谢的比他和比罗他城中夺取了许多的铜。
撒下8:8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
撒下8:9 哈马王陀以听见大卫杀败哈大底谢的全军，
撒下8:9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
撒下8:10 就打发他儿子约兰去见大卫王，问他的安，为他祝福，因为他杀败了哈大底谢。（原来陀以与哈大底谢常常争战。）约兰带了金银铜的器皿来，
撒下8:10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
撒下8:11 大卫王将这些器皿，和他治服各国所得来的金银都分别为圣，献给耶和华。
撒下8:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
撒下8:12 就是从亚兰，摩押，亚扪，非利士，亚玛力人所得来的，以及从琐巴王利合的儿子哈大底谢所掠之物。
撒下8:12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
撒下8:13 大卫在盐谷击杀了亚兰（或作“以东”，见诗篇60篇诗题）一万八千人回来，就得了大名。
撒下8:13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
撒下8:14 又在以东全地设立防营，以东人就都归服大卫。大卫无论往哪里去，耶和华都使他得胜。
撒下8:14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
撒下8:15 大卫作以色列众人的王，又向众民秉公行义。
撒下8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.
撒下8:16 洗鲁雅的儿子约押作元帅；亚希律的儿子约沙法作史官；
撒下8:16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
撒下8:17 亚希突的儿子撒督和亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒作祭司长；西莱雅作书记；
撒下8:17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
撒下8:18 耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅统辖基利提人和比利提人。大卫的众子都作领袖。
撒下8:18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
