箴4:1 众子啊，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。
箴4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
箴4:2 因我所给你们的是好教训，不可离弃我的法则（或作“指教”）。
箴4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
箴4:3 我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。
箴4:3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
箴4:4 父亲教训我说：“你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。
箴4:4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
箴4:5 要得智慧，要得聪明，不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。
箴4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
箴4:6 不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱他，他就保守你。
箴4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
箴4:7 智慧为首，所以要得智慧，在你一切所得之内必得聪明（或作“用你一切所得的去换聪明”）。
箴4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
箴4:8 高举智慧，他就使你高升；怀抱智慧，他就使你尊荣。
箴4:8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
箴4:9 他必将华冠加在你头上，把荣冕交给你。”
箴4:9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
箴4:10 我儿，你要听受我的言语，就必延年益寿。
箴4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
箴4:11 我已指教你走智慧的道，引导你行正直的路。
箴4:11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
箴4:12 你行走，脚步必不至狭窄；你奔跑，也不至跌倒。
箴4:12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
箴4:13 要持定训诲，不可放松；必当谨守，因为她是你的生命。
箴4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
箴4:14 不可行恶人的路，不要走坏人的道。
箴4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
箴4:15 要躲避，不可经过，要转身而去。
箴4:15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
箴4:16 这等人若不行恶，不得睡觉；不使人跌倒，睡卧不安。
箴4:16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
箴4:17 因为他们以奸恶吃饼，以强暴喝酒。
箴4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
箴4:18 但义人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。
箴4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
箴4:19 恶人的道好像幽暗，自己不知因什么跌倒。
箴4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
箴4:20 我儿，要留心听我的言词，侧耳听我的话语。
箴4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
箴4:21 都不可离你的眼目，要存记在你心中。
箴4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
箴4:22 因为得着它的，就得了生命，又得了医全体的良药。
箴4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
箴4:23 你要保守你心，胜过保守一切（或作“你要切切保守你心”），因为一生的果效，是由心发出。
箴4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
箴4:24 你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的嘴。
箴4:24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
箴4:25 你的眼目要向前正看，你的眼睛（原文作“皮”）当向前直观。
箴4:25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
箴4:26 要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道，
箴4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
箴4:27 不可偏向左右，要使你的脚离开邪恶。
箴4:27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
