箴26:1 夏天落雪,收割时下雨,都不相宜,愚昧人得尊荣也是如此。
箴26:1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
箴26:2 麻雀往来,燕子翻飞,这样,无故的咒诅也必不临到。
箴26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
箴26:3 鞭子是为打马,辔头是为勒驴;刑杖是为打愚昧人的背。
箴26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.
箴26:4 不要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他,恐怕你与他一样。
箴26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
箴26:5 要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他,免得他自以为有智慧。
箴26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
箴26:6 借愚昧人手寄信的,是砍断自己的脚,自受损害(“自受”原文作“喝”)。
箴26:6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.
箴26:7 瘸子的脚空存无用;箴言在愚昧人的口中也是如此。
箴26:7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
箴26:8 将尊荣给愚昧人的,好像人把石子包在机弦里。
箴26:8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.
箴26:9 箴言在愚昧人的口中,好像荆棘刺入醉汉的手。
箴26:9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
箴26:10 雇愚昧人的,与雇过路人的,就像射伤众人的弓箭手。
箴26:10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
箴26:11 愚昧人行愚妄事,行了又行,就如狗转过来吃它所吐的。
箴26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
箴26:12 你见自以为有智慧的人吗?愚昧人比他更有指望。
箴26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
箴26:13 懒惰人说:“道上有猛狮,街上有壮狮。”
箴26:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
箴26:14 门在枢纽转动,懒惰人在床上也是如此。
箴26:14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.
箴26:15 懒惰人放手在盘子里,就是向口撤回也以为劳乏。
箴26:15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
箴26:16 懒惰人看自己,比七个善于应对的人更有智慧。
箴26:16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
箴26:17 过路被事激动,管理不干己的争竞,好像人揪住狗耳。
箴26:17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
箴26:18 人欺凌邻舍,却说,我岂不是戏耍吗。他就像疯狂的人,抛掷火把,利箭,
箴26:18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,
箴26:19 与杀人的兵器。(杀人的兵器原文作死亡)
箴26:19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?
箴26:20 火缺了柴,就必熄灭,无人传舌,争竞便止息。
箴26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
箴26:21 好争竞的人煽惑争端,就如余火加炭,火上加柴一样。
箴26:21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.
箴26:22 传舌人的言语,如同美食,深入人的心腹。
箴26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
箴26:23 火热的嘴,奸恶的心,好像银渣包的瓦器。
箴26:23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.
箴26:24 怨恨人的,用嘴粉饰,心里却藏着诡诈。
箴26:24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
箴26:25 他用甜言蜜语,你不可信他,因为他心中有七样可憎恶的。
箴26:25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
箴26:26 他虽用诡诈遮掩自己的怨恨,他的邪恶必在会中显露。
箴26:26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
箴26:27 挖陷坑的,自己必掉在其中;滚石头的,石头必反滚在他身上。
箴26:27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
箴26:28 虚谎的舌,恨他所压伤的人;谄媚的口,败坏人的事。
箴26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
